A GRAPHIC ZINE PROJECT DESIGNED AND ART DIRECTED BY ALI AUGUR
Where’s Punk When You Need It?
Is a journey to discover if the punk ethos is still alive. In these times of political and social unrest, is there still an anti-establishment force brewing within the youth? A collective voice raging against capitalism, racism and war-mongering? I couldn’t recall the last time I felt in the presence of a global or even national movement to counter the generic lust for distraction through popular entertainment. So I went to see if I could find the pulse of the scene that caused such chaos in the late 20th century at the Rebellion Festival in Blackpool.
You can purchase a copy of the zine here. If you are a photo editor or commissioner, then please holler at me or my agent and we’ll get one to you.
