MS Society – 30 under 30 project
Back in October/November of 2020, I worked with the MS Society on their 30 under 30 project. I met some lovely young people. Covid meant we had to be creative about how we shot the project. I actually really appreciated the restrictions; driving to where each of them lived, a quick recce and then a socially distanced shoot somewhere outside, near to their homes. Sometimes the weather didn’t play ball but in general I loved the stripped back approach, exactly how I shoot my personal documentary projects.

Giles Terera and Michael Balogun for National Theatre
Giles Terera for The National Theatre. I’ve shot some emotional ones in my time but this one was possibly the most affecting, Giles’ performance really moved me.
‘Death Of England: Delroy’ was such a pleasure to work on for me, my first studio shoot out of lockdown and the theatres first live play.
Very sadly Giles Terera was unable to perform in the play following emergency surgery but the good news was that understudy Michael Balogun was able to take over the role. He has got one of the most interesting back stories of any actor I’ve worked with. So it was nice to see him be given this break and selfishly it was great to add his portrait to the set.

Tabatha
In one of the safer periods of last year I turned my home office into a studio for a day and welcomed some faces from Hive models in for portraits. It has felt like so long since I’ve worked in interior locations and it was nice to get back into that mindset, if only for a day.
Hiatus – Distancer album art
I’m always pleased to be asked to provide artwork for my lifelong friend Cyrus, who records under the name Hiatus. A bit of a departure in style for both of us but I’m really happy with it.
The album is stunning, go check it out in all the usual places.
